Tara Holgate from Snohomish County Christian High School is a 6-foot-4 forward from Everett, Wash. In her 2003-04 campaign she averaged 15 points, 11 rebounds and nine blocks per game. She ended the season with five triple-doubles and 11 double-double games. She was the MVP of the Washington All-State Game and a member of the Class B All-State Tournament Team. Holgate was also selected as the Tournament MVP at the Mid May Run and Battle in Seattle while playing for the Northwest Heat.

"Tara will give us the type of player we have yet to have in my tenure at Eastern, a 6-4 post player. But her size is only part of why we are so excited about her future," said Schuller." Tara runs the floor like a forward, has great hands, and loves the game. Her future is limitless, and because of her love of the game I know she’ll work hard to become a great player. As a student, Tara is a high achiever and will be as successful in the classroom as she is on the court."
